Another exceptional edition of Follow the Leaders is now behind us – an event organized by Pro Progressio that has firmly established itself in the calendar of Poland’s most important business gatherings. For two days, the Tricity became the center of international discussion on the future of business, ecological transformation, and the new skillsets required of leaders. The program featured the BSS Conference, Team Leader Workshops, and the ECO Transformations Conference, and culminated in the Follow the Leaders Gala, where the winners of the PRO Tiger 2025 Awards were announced.
The BSS Conference brought together experts and practitioners from the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Packed halls at Olivia Centre became the stage for in-depth discussions on the future of the modern business services sector – one of the pillars of the Polish economy, generating hundreds of thousands of jobs.
A recurring theme ran through all debates: the industry is at a turning point. Amid geopolitical shifts, cost pressures, automation, and the rapid rise of artificial intelligence, shared services centers are undergoing a profound transformation. Increasingly, advanced financial processes, R&D functions, and cybersecurity are taking center stage, setting new standards for the sector in the years to come.
HR-related issues also came to the fore. Experts addressed the challenges of managing multigenerational teams, onboarding, and the role of effective internal communication. These sessions drew particularly large audiences, confirming that people and their skills remain at the heart of the sector.
An integral part of the program was the Team Leader Workshops. Over the course of eight intensive 90-minute sessions, dozens of leaders from GBS and SSC centers across Poland honed their skills under the guidance of trainers, mentors, and coaches. This was the second edition of the workshops and, as participants emphasized, the hands-on format and the opportunity to share experiences made them one of the most valuable elements of the entire event.
The ECO Transformations Conference confirmed that sustainability and green energy are becoming cornerstones of business strategies in the region.
Experts and practitioners demonstrated that sustainability is no longer just a slogan but a concrete pillar of investment decisions. Discussions focused on the need to reduce carbon footprints, implement circular economy practices, and foster innovations that accelerate the adoption of renewable energy. A strong message echoed throughout the debates: Pomerania region has become one of Poland’s most dynamic hubs for green transformation, driven by the synergy between business, local government, and academia.
The highlight of the entire event was the Follow the Leaders Gala, hosted at the top floors of Olivia Star. The evening welcomed not only business leaders from Poland and abroad, but also representatives of public administration, local government, academia, media, and organizations supporting entrepreneurship. The gala was officially opened by Marcin Skwierawski, Deputy Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship.
During the evening, the winners of the prestigious PRO Tiger 2025 awards were announced, recognizing the most innovative solutions and outstanding practices in the business world.
