Pro Progressio has released the latest edition of its FOCUS ON report, this time dedicated to Tricity – one of the most attractive and dynamically developing business locations in Poland.
Gdańsk, Gdynia, and Sopot form the country’s third-largest metropolitan area, combining high quality of life with a thriving modern business services sector. Nearly 230 BSS companies operate in the region, employing over 42,000 specialists. Global organizations such as Amazon, KPMG, PwC, State Street, Foundever, and ISS have already established their offices and service centers here.
Tricity stands out for its access to a well-qualified talent pool, low employee turnover, and the multilingual skills of local graduates. The local office market exceeds 1 million m² of modern space, with flagship complexes such as Olivia Centre, Alchemia, and Wave placing the region among the leading Polish locations in terms of availability and quality of office infrastructure for the BSS sector.
– Tricity is becoming one of the most future-oriented industrial areas in Poland. It is here that offshore wind and nuclear energy projects are gaining ground, supporting the green transition – emphasizes Sławomir Kossakowski, President of the Pomerania Development Agency, in the foreword to the report.
The Tricity labor market, while based on a strong pool of talent, continues to evolve alongside the growth of new industries.
– Rising demand for specialists in offshore, transport and logistics, IT sectors is creating a highly competitive talent market, prompting organizations to leverage global talent pools and implement flexible employment strategies – says Karolina Celep, Branch Manager at Manpower.
For nearly three decades, Tricity has been an attractive location for shared services centers, R&D hubs, and global outsourcing operations. It is also one of Poland’s key FDI destinations, consistently featured in investment rankings and international location benchmarks.
– Tricity is an excellent location for a wide range of business investments, both in services and production. Work-life balance here is not just a slogan, but a way of life for the local community. It is also a rare example of a place where three transport corridors – road, air, and sea – operate simultaneously. Year after year, the data confirm that compared to many European locations, the region ranks at the top and continues to become home to new companies – notes Wiktor Doktór, CEO of Pro Progressio.
The report was officially presented on 17 September 2025 in Gdynia at 3T Office Park, during a meeting organized by Pro Progressio and Invest in Pomerania for advisory firms and the business community. The meeting was part of Follow the Leaders 2025, an international event focused on key trends and challenges in the business services sector and the green transformation.
FOCUS ON Tricity report was prepared by Pro Progressio in cooperation with Invest in Pomerania, Cushman & Wakefield, and ManpowerGroup.
The report is available free of charge, in both Polish and English, on Pro Progressio’s ARENA platform.
