Pro Progressio releases the FOCUS ON Elbląg 2026 report

Elbląg is shaping its investment proposition around a combination of industrial and engineering expertise, technology capabilities, logistics and a growing business services sector, according to the latest FOCUS ON Elbląg 2026 report published by Pro Progressio. Rather than competing on the scale of Poland’s largest regional markets, the city offers investors access to resources, technical capabilities and conditions that support the development of new projects.

Industrial DNA in a changing business landscape

Industry and manufacturing have long been central to Elbląg’s economic profile. Today, the city’s established strengths – including metal processing, engineering and furniture manufacturing – are increasingly complemented by technology, R&D and business services. The result is an economy that combines industrial know-how with a growing demand for more advanced technical and digital capabilities.

This model is supported by a local education system that includes both technical schools and higher education institutions. Fields of study include IT, economics and administration, alongside medical disciplines. For investors, this translates into access to a diverse talent base, ranging from technical and production skills to specialists required for service and technology-driven projects.

A market with room to grow

One of Elbląg’s distinguishing features is the availability of commercial real estate at a scale suited to companies establishing or expanding operations. The city currently offers more than 30,000 sq m of modern office space and over 40,000 sq m of Class A warehouse space. Additional warehouse developments are planned, further expanding the options available to manufacturing, logistics and operational projects.

Elbląg’s location also provides access to the transport infrastructure of northern Poland. Gdańsk Airport is around 76 km from the city centre and offers an extensive network of international connections. In 2025, the airport handled nearly 7.4 million passengers.

Support for new projects

Elbląg’s investment proposition is complemented by a range of support instruments, from local property tax exemptions to incentives available through the Warmińsko-Mazurska Special Economic Zone. Investors can also access the “Kurs na Elbląg” programme, designed to support companies throughout the investment process.

FOCUS ON Elbląg 2026 brings together the key data needed to assess the local market from an investor’s perspective, covering areas including education and talent, commercial real estate, transport connectivity, salary levels across selected professional groups, business services and available investment support.
